Wallets

Wallets are some of my favorite pieces to make because they are both ordinary and deeply personal. They are practical objects, carried every day, opened and closed without much thought. And yet they hold things that matter: identification, access, money, photographs, small reminders of who we are and what we value. A wallet becomes part of a person’s daily rhythm, shaped by use, touch, and time. In that way, they remind me of therapy. Much of the meaningful work happens in what we carry quietly: our stories, our identities, our responsibilities, and the parts of ourselves we keep close. A handmade wallet is a small object, but it holds a kind of intimacy. It is made to be used, softened, marked, and carried forward.
